Janet recently returned to the industry after taking a hiatus to teach theatre while raising her daughter, and is having a blast performing again!

Some favorite on-camera appearances include Pretty Little Liars, Akeelah and the Bee with Laurence Fishburne and Keke Palmer, and the upcoming Apple series Government Cheese. She currently appears in the Indie feature Peeky (on Tubi), and the comedy shorts Gringo Latino, America’s Sweetheart, and Garden Variety.

Onstage, Janet has premiered the works of leading playwrights in roles ranging from a ball-busting Jersey girl to a shape-shifting spirit guide. Her own solo play The Ramona Roses celebrated the wit and resilience of at-risk girls she taught at Ramona Opportunity School in East Los Angeles.  Julio Martinez of Variety had high praise: “Borrus flows seamlessly out of herself and into the richly colorful and detailed personas….Exuberant and hilarious!”
