Acting

An award-winning actor with a gift for comedy, Janet recently returned to performing after taking a hiatus to teach theatre while raising her daughter. She’s having a blast being back on screen, onstage and in the recording booth!

Recent screen roles include fierce, funny women in Apple TV’s GOVERNMENT CHEESE, Indie features OMI, PEEKY, and many award-winning shorts, including THE AUSCHWITZ BAGEL, DEGREE OF CERTAINTY with Peter MacKenzie (AFI), GRINGO LATINO, VOTE FOR LOLA and NEVER GONNA LET YOU DOWN (AFI). Prior to her hiatus, Janet guest-starred on top shows such as PRETTY LITTLE LIARS and faced off with Keke Palmer in the popular classic AKEELAH AND THE BEE. She has premiered the work of leading playwrights Off-Broadway, in regional theatre and across Los Angeles, most recently starring in LUGGAGE by playwright and TV writer Jacquelyn Reingold, for which she won the BEST ACTRESS AWARD in the Hollywood Short ‘n Sweet Theatre Festival. Her recent comedy work includes stand up and hosting the Jewish Federation’s Ladies of Laughter night with Rose Abdoo and Sue Messing. Janet’s solo show THE RAMONA ROSES, inspired by her students at Ramona Opportunity School in East Los Angeles, toured the country to rave reviews.
