Acting

An award-winning actor with a gift for comedy, Janet recently returned to performing after taking a hiatus to teach theatre while raising her daughter. She is having a blast being back on screen, onstage and in the recording booth!

Her recent screen roles include fierce, funny women in Apple TV’s GOVERNMENT CHEESE, Indie features OMI, PEEKY, and many award-winning shorts, including THE AUSCHWITZ BAGEL, DAYS OF AWE, GRINGO LATINO, VOTE FOR LOLA and DEGREE OF CERTAINTY with Peter Mackenzie for AFI. Prior to her hiatus, Janet guest-starred on top shows such as PRETTY LITTLE LIARS and faced off with Keke Palmer in the popular classic AKEELAH AND THE BEE. She has premiered the work of leading playwrights Off-Broadway, in regional theatre and across Los Angeles, most recently starring in LUGGAGE by Jacquelyn Reingold, for which she won the BEST ACTRESS AWARD in the Hollywood Short+Sweet Theatre Festival. Her comedy gigs includes improv, stand up and storytelling, most recently in Ladies of Laughter with Rose Abdoo. Janet’s solo show THE RAMONA ROSES, inspired by her students at Ramona Opportunity School, toured the country to rave reviews.
